In order to have the CMG Directory Connector honor the GroupWise visibility setting, follow this procedure:
1. Exit the CMG Management Console.
2. Navigate to:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Dell\Coexistence Manager for GroupWise\Directory Connector\Attributes
3. Open the "GroupWiseConnector_users" file with a text editor.
4. Add the "Visibility" attribute to the list.
5. Save and close the file "GroupWiseConnector_users".
6. Open the CMG Management Console.
7. Save | Activate the Directory Connector.
8. Locate the GroupWise to Exchange Directory Connector you wish to modify.
9. Right-click and select Advanced Settings.
10. Locate the section in the upper-right that says "Update LDAP Attributes".
11. Click the "Update Source" button.
12. Click the Users tab | Provision Filters tab.
13. Locate the "mail" filter | Click Edit.
14. Click the Specify operand by: Attribute button at the top of the screen.
15. Select "Visibility" as the attribute and click OK.
There are a couple of common options for filtering based off of the GroupWise visibility attribute:
Option 1: Sync only GroupWise objects with GroupWise "Visibility" set to "System".
a. Set the Specify Operation radio button in the middle of the screen to: Is(exactly).
b. In the Value field, type "System".
Option 2: Sync all GroupWise objects except those with GroupWise "Visibility" set to "None".
a. Set the Specify Operation radio button in the middle of the screen to: Is not.
b. In the Value field, type "None".
16. Click Add | OK.
17. Repeat steps 11-14 on the Update Filters tab in the Advanced Settings of the connector.
18. Save | Activate | Run the CMG Directory Connector
Note: This will not remove contacts from Exchange that were already provisioned. These previously provisioned objects will need to be removed manually.
