GPO Synchronization removes WMI filters on target GPOs in different domains -

When a GPO is set to synchronize with another GPO in a different domain and this GPO has a WMI filter linked, the filter link is removed from the target GPO upon synchronization. -
Causa
This is partially expected as WMI filters can only be used in their domain. However, it breaks synchronization if WMI filters are required. -
Resolução
WORKAROUND
Create the following registry key. This is an incoming block that will prevent the target GPO's WMI filter being overwritten by the synchronization. This must be created on each target domain's GPOADmin server(s).

Path: HKLM\Software\Quest\GPOADminType: String valueName: OverwriteWMIFilterOnImportValue: FalseWhen OverwriteWMIFilterOnImport is set to "false", the WMI filter on the TARGET GPO will not be changed due to synchronization. When it is set to "true", (or the key does not exist) the WMI filter on the target GPO will be overwritten.STATUS
Enhancement request number TF00595109 has been submitted to Development for consideration in a future release of GPOAdmin.
Please note: If you have a GPOADmin version prior to 5.11, any folder/registry paths referenced may contain the non-Quest branded path instead of ‘Quest’
