Performance issues in the GPOADmin Console -

When opening the GPOADmin Console, any or all of the following issues occurs:- The specified domain does not exist or cannot be contacted- The error message: "Access is denied" appears and after a while, the MMC Snap-in turns unavailable and crashes with a thrown COM Exceptions.- From the Event Logs: "Collection was modified; enumeration operation may not execute."- Significant lag while browsing GPOADmin Live Environment and Version Control Root. -
Causa
GPOADmin Live Environment is configured to manage domains that either does not have a PDC set or the service account does not have permissions to access. -
Resolução
1. Set a Preferred DC for each domain to be managed by GPOADmin (the closest DC in the network as a preference). Please note that GPOADmin can only use 1 PDC per domain to avoid any Watcher communication conflicts (this is the way it works by design).2. Exclude any domains which GPOADmin will not be managing. To do this:a. Login to GPOAdmin as a GPOAdmin Administratorb. Right-click Live Environment and select Propertiesc. On the Domains tab, ensure that only the domains you would like to manage with GPOADmin are selected. -
