Basically the Sybase agent is reporting messages from the actual Backup server error log. The Backup_Error_Log rule extracts all messages that are written to the backup error log file since the last collection cycle and that show severity values of 2, 3, or 4.
An alert is issued for each unique message code. If the same message is issued more than once, one alert is issued. The data table maintains a column displays how many of each message is collected.
The BackupErrorLog table stores any messages from the backup server error log with a severity of 2, 3 or 4.
Go to the host box and review the Backup Server error log for the full listings of the detected errors.
In a nutshell, the alarm received is a actual message in the Backup server log on the Sybase server. Foglight Sybase agent is just reporting the message in alarm form.
