Cannot connect to AWS RDS PostgreSQL 15 and higher databases

Cannot connect to PostgreSQL 15 and higher databases

The PostgreSQL log file includes the message:
Caused by: org.postgresql.util.PSQLException: FATAL: no pg_hba.conf entry for host "IPADDRESS", user "postgres", database "postgres", no encryption

Beginning in PostgreSQL 15, the rds.force_ssl parameter was changed from a default of 0 (off) to 1 (on).

RESOLUTION 1
1. Copy the default parameter group to a custom group and change the default rds.force_ssl value from 1 (default on) to 0 (off).
2. Reboot the PostgreSQL database 
3. Confirm that the SSL setting in the PostgreSQL agent status properties is set to Disable.
4. Activate the PostgreSQL agent.


RESOLUTION 2 
1. Obtain a copy of an AWS certificate to connect to the database.
2. Place a copy of the certificate in the FglAM truststore or in a location on the FglAM server.
3. Configure the PostgreSQL agent status properties for SSL to be Allow and either the file path location of the certificate on the filesystem as described in Knowledgebase article 4229097 . Then Save the changes in the agent.
4. Activate the PostgreSQL agent.
