How to install a cartridge into Foglight (4290142)

What are the steps to install a cartridge in Foglight by Adding it to a Cartridge Inventory of an Existing Foglight Management Server?

New cartridges can be installed into the Foglight Management Server to add capabilities to monitor products including

• DB2
• SQL Server
• Sybase
• Oracle
• Windows
• Unix
• VMWare
• Exchange
• Active Directory

To install a new cartridge into Foglight

1. Login and download the cartridge from Support Link on https://support.quest.com/
2. Extract the ".car" file to a folder that can be accessed from the Foglight server.
3. In Foglight, go to Administration | Cartridges | Inventory.
4. Click the "Install cartridges" button.
5. In the window that opens, click the "Browse" button.
6. Locate the ".car" file and click the "Open" button.
7. Click the "Install cartridge" button.
