When system policies dictate that monitoring of hardware is implemented the DR does not give a MIB-tree for software or hardware issues. There is no configuration for the DR and SNMP. 3rd party solutions cannot connect to or monitor the DR.

When setting up SNMP and wanting to monitor with a 3rd party tool. -
Resolução
The DR systems are not officially enabling SNMP monitoring by 3rd party software. It is possible to activate SNMP monitoring in the iDRAC and monitor the server hardware using DELL OpenManage.
Instructions for this can be found on the DELL website and manuals. From the DR we have CLI commands to enable or disable SNMP and also which host and which community the system will be sending SNMP traps on.
The DR systems have limited possibilities for SNMP monitoring. Any issues or information considering the software cannot be monitored. Even though this is true, there are some things that can be done.- From a hardware perspective, DELL OpenManage can be used to connect SNMP monitoring to iDRAC (this will only monitor hardware situations on the system). The DR uses the Alerts-command to manage SNMP:
alerts --snmp_add --host --port --communityalerts --snmp_delete --hostalerts --snmp_disable --hostalerts --snmp_enable --hostalerts --snmp_trap_email --sender_email
- For any alert status or for software information, the option is to set up a DR e-mail recipient either in the CLI or in the webGUI using the Alerts-command to set relay host and what type of events to receive.

For firewall protection, SNMP monitoring requires port 199 open.
