If QCS service account password was changed without following the proper procedure, its service may fail to start with the following error:
"The Quest Collaboration Services Synchronization Service service on Local Computer started and stopped. Some services stop automatically if they have no work to do, for example, the Performance Logs and alerts service"
Please change QCS service account password in AD back to its original value and then follow the proper procedure:
Note: If the Synchronization Service is unable to start, you must first set the password back to its original value in Active Directory before proceeding. You will be changing the account password on Step 6 (below).
At this point QCS installation should be fully functional.
