We've recently learned about an issue pertaining to the
licensing of the Oracle Plug-in in NetVault 13.0. This issue only occurs with
the NetVault 13.0 Standard Capacity license type.
How does this affect me?
The issue will only occur if you are using NetVault version 13.0.0.33 with the Oracle Plug-in and have a NetVault Standard Capacity license.
The issue will cause an error whenever an Oracle Plug-in operation occurs, such as creating a backup job, running a backup job, or restoring backup data.
The issue does not occur for other NetVault license types. Nor does it occur with NetVault 12.4 or earlier.
Workaround
To resolve the issue, please contact Quest Licensing Support.
Quest Licensing Support will provide a workaround license to enable Oracle Plug-in operations.
Status
The cause of the issue has been identified, and a permanent resolution will be included in the next release of NetVault.
