How to manually update the KACE SMA Software Catalog
Description
It is sometimes necessary to manually update the database containing the Software Catalog.
The required steps are described below.
Resolution
Open the KACE SMA Console as Administrator or System
Go to Settings | Appliance Updates
If the Organization component is enabled on the appliance, log in to the KACE SMA System Administration Console, http://KACE_SMA_hostname/system, or select System in the dropdown list in the top-right corner of the page, then click Settings
Click Check for Update then confirm
The details of the update process are displayed in the logs (Settings | Logs | K1000 Log)
Look for ksamupdater
IMPORTANT NOTE: If KACE SMA is offline and does not have Internet access, contact KACE Support.
