FileSystem Full error[s] scroll on the K2000 console and possibly the WebUI console can no longer be accessed.
The file system is indeed full and some data must be 'cleared' to recover available space to remedy the issue.
Note: There is also a warning that will appear on the K2000 WebUI 'home page' that will detail a low disk space condition, that would alert users to a possible pending filesystem full issue, prior to that occuring.
Scenario 1: The webui is inaccessible and the K2000 console screen has an error similar to: kernal: pid 808 (syslogd), uid 0 inumber 164936 on /var:filesystem full
Scenario 2: The 'File System is Full' message could appear for various reasons; an export when the available space on the K2000 may not be available, capturing a 40 gb image when adequate free space isn't available.
When the file system full, data must be deleted or move to recover available space.
Scenario 1: If the console screen has a message similar to: kernal: pid 808 (syslogd), uid 0 inumber 164936 on /var:filesystem full. Please submit a service request in our Support Site.
Scenario 2: If you can still ping the k2000, then first check the shares to see if we can clear space:
Note: When/If enough free space is available, the WebUI access should return.
Connecting to the KACE Appliance
If the appliance is physical, support can logon with putty through Webex. SSH must be enabled. If SSH is not enabled, logging into the console with konfig then enable SSH. A system reboot is needed. An IPKVM is another option
For newer physical appliances; iDRAC should be enabled. If iDRAC is not enabling, follow this article iDRAC for K-Appliances to configure and connect with iDRAC.
If another KACE appliance is in the environment and linked, a tether applied to can remote into the K2000. Again SSH must be enabled.
If the appliance is virtual, support can logon via the virtual console through Webex.
Note: If using version 3.4 or higher, we may be able to enable [ ] allow root logon over ssh, via konfig logon at the console, this can be difficult at times because of the constant scrolling of the 'filesystem full' errors.
