How to troubleshoot PXE boot by using the ipxe_debug.efi binay -
Description
Since version 8.1 it was introduced the "ipxe_debug.efi" binary to the SDA Appliance to troubleshoot iPXE. -
Resolution
The use of the ipxe_debug.efi consists of changing the binary set on Option 67 of the DHCP from "ipxe.efi" to "ipxe_debug.efi".
The next time a PXE boot happens the following will appear, then to initiate the debug Ctrl+B has to be pressed.
This will bring an iPXE shell prompt. From this shell, the following commands can be utilized:
"show 54", should get the DHCP IP.
"show 66", should get the IP of the SDA appliance.
"route", should get the current IP address, subnet mask, and gateway IP.
"show dns", should get the DNS IP.
"show next-server", should bring the SDA appliance IP.
