While attempting to update from version 6.1 to 7.0 the user receives a pop up notice that mentions that "Maintenance has expired for this server".
Because version 6.1 now requires an active maintenance status prior to updating, the license file is checked to verify an active maintenance subscription.
One of following conditions will trigger this event:
In the event that the subscription has elapsed and/or expired, this will need to be resolved through Licensing in order to proceed to updating.
If the appliance shows as currently active, perform the following checks from the appliance web interface:
If you receive a successful message, then the appliance is able to communicate with KACE resources to verify the license, please contact KACE support for further assistance.
If unsuccessful, the environment will need to be checked for the following:
Note: The Deployment Appliance does not have any built in network security features, the customer's environment will need to be checked in order to resolve.
