In this What's New in 6.0 video, we will cover the enhancements made to Remote Site Appliances, setting a Default Boot Environment & the new Save-and-Sync button.
Default Boot Environment - In previous versions, you could only set Default KBEs on an RSA after synchronizing KBEs from your SDA - AND you'd have to visit the RSA web-interface to make them default.
In this version, you can choose which KBEs will be the RSA defaults directly from the SDA web interface, during synchronization, without having to visit the RSA interface at all.
Save and Sync - Also new in 6.0 is a Save-and-Sync button. In previous versions you could capture an image directly to an RSA. Then, you could even configure that image directly in the RSA web-interface, by assigning Tasks to it. When viewing the image in the RSA, all the Tasks available on your SDA would appear as selectable - even if they hadn't been synchronized to the RSA. You could assign them to the image and save the configuration.
However, the Tasks wouldn't sync from the SDA to the RSA, until you either visit the SDA web-interface to force synchronization OR wait until the scheduled synchronization window comes on-line.
In this version, we've greatly simplified this process with a Save-and-Sync button right there on the RSA captured Image.
