In this What's New in 6.0 video, we will cover the new Task Groups feature. With this new feature, you can choose to deploy Installation tasks without deploying an Operating System. By that I mean a completely custom deployment with NO attached Image or Scripted Installation.
Custom Deployments Blog - Before watching this video, you should visit the ITNinja.com blog post we've written describing this new feature (link below). The link will be in the KB Article accompanying this video on our support site. I'm pointing this out first-of-all so you can read about how it works.
We will post three already-configured, ready-to-be-imported, Custom Deployment Tasks and Task Groups. The download links will appear on the blog page on the 6.0 release date.
After reading the blog post, I recommend that you follow the page to be notified when new comments and Task Groups are added in the future. We'd love to know how you plan to use this feature, so feel free to add your own comments.
It is likely that any Custom Deployment you create will heavily leverage another new feature in this release called Task Groups - like the ones that you download from our ITNinja.com blog. So, I strongly recommend that you learn about that feature first. This video will focus on how to use Task Groups to create Custom Deployments. If you haven't watched the Task Groups video yet, that link is also included below.
