In this What's New in 6.0 video, we will cover the new Task Groups feature.
Task Groups - When adding tasks to deployments, whether Images or Scripted Installations, you've always had to drag each task - one at a time - in exactly the order you want them applied. So, if you've ever wanted to have a similar grouping of tasks added to multiple deployments, you had to re-perform this same set of actions, again and again, for each deployment.
In this version, with the Task Groups feature, you can quickly and easily pre-define groups of tasks and add them with just a couple clicks - and if you need to clear all the tasks at any point, just click the Clear All Tasks button.
This feature works on all task sections, Pre-, Mid-, and Post-. And, when you build the Task Groups, you not only get to choose which tasks are included, but their order as well. So, once you set the group up, you never have to remember your preferred order - it's built right in.
Also covered in this video is the promotion of Mid-Level Tasks to their very own section, separating them from Post-Installation Tasks.
