How to download and install the SDA Media Manager -
Description
The KACE Systems Deployment Appliance (SDA) Media Manager is a utility that performs several functions:
- Uploads Windows Source Medias for Scripted Installations
- [Windows only] Uploads the User State Migration Tool (USMT) from the Windows ADK
- [Windows only] Leverages the Windows ADK to create and upload Windows KACE Boot Environments (KBEs)
- [macOS only] Leverages the Install macOS [Version] application to create and upload Mac KBEs
You can download the SDA Media Manager from the SDA web interface and we recommend installing it to a Windows device with the Windows ADK installed or a macOS device with the macOS install application.

macOS
- On the left navigation pane, click Library to display the Library Overview page.
- Under Source Media, select Choose Action > Download Media Manager to display the Media Manager page.
- Click Download for Mac.
- If the downloaded ZIP file does not automatically extract, extract it manually. Copy the extracted Media Manager APP file into the Applications folder
- Double-click the APP file to run the Media Manager from the Applications folder
Windows
The Media Manager requires the full installation of Microsoft .NET 4.0. from http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=17851
- On the left navigation pane, click Library to display the Library Overview page.
- Under Source Media, select Choose Action > Download Media Manager to display the Media Manager page.
- Click Download for Windows.
- Click Run or Save to download the installation file to the device, then double-click the file to start the installation.
- Run the Media Manager from Start > All Programs > Quest > KACE SDA Media Manager.
