The driver's directory is where the appliance will look for drivers during KBE creation. Users can place Network and Storage drivers needed for the KBE to function correctly for the target system into the \\ikbox\drivers directory. This process is only needed to be completed if the standard WINPE driver set does not allow the target system to obtain the KACE Capture/Deploy menu.
To create or change the password for the driver's directory in the K2000 appliance:
1. Logon to the K2000 appliance: Go to Settings and Maintenance|General Settings |Edit
2. Enter the new password in the field called: "K2000 Samba Share Password:"
This will change the password to access the driver's directory: \\ikbox\\drivers, previous KBE's created will prompt for the password as the one encoded in the KBE will no longer match the appliance. To correct this issue re-create the KBE, this will encode the current Samba password into the KBE.
Map a network drive to \\ikbox\\drivers directory and use the username of admin and the password that was changed above. Be sure to authenticate against your K2000 appliance by using K2000/admin as the username.
At times it may be necessary when logging into the samba driver share to use '\admin', '[IPAddress_K2]\admin', or '[dns_name]kbox\admin' to access the share.
NOTE: Version 6.0.425 upgrade sets the NTLMv1 disabled, if not able to access the samba share this option may need to be enabled.
