Description
When trying to PXE boot to a KBE, an error appears: "System error 53 has occurred. The network path was not found." -
Cause
The message "System error 53 has occurred. The network path was not found" is a common native message of Microsoft Windows Operating System and is not directly related to the KACE appliance. -
Resolution
Please verify the following points :- Verify that the KACE SDA can be pinged, and that it answers without significant packet loss. If the KACE SDA does not answer when it is pinged by its hostname but does answer when pinged with its IP address, please check the DNS configuration.
- Check on the local computer and on the remote host that there is no security hardware or software blocking or filtering the communication between the local and remote machines (firewall / antivirus / router ...). If necessary rules have to be enabled (port opening, port translation...) in order to allow the communication between the two machines.
- Follw the instructions in solution 129336.
- Ensure the Windows Boot Manager is disabled
- Rebuild the KBE and verify the IP address is entered correctly
