Read types in the Dynamic SQL Reads pane

All of the read types shown in the Dynamic SQL Reads pane are listed below in alphabetic order. This pane is available on the Dynamic SQL Details sub drilldown for the Dynamic SQL tab in the Top SQL drilldown.

Initially, read types are shown in Spotlight's default order. You can sort and arrange them in different ways using options on the right-click menu for column headers.

Logical Data Reads

The number of logical reads performed during execution of a dynamic SQL statement.

Physical Data Reads

The number of physical reads performed during execution of a dynamic SQL statement.

Logical Index Reads

The number of logical index reads performed during execution of a dynamic SQL statement.

Physical Index Reads

The number of physical index reads performed during execution of a dynamic SQL statement.

Logical XML Reads

The number of logical XML reads performed during execution of a dynamic SQL statement.

Physical XML Reads
