How to Delete the Dedupe Cache (4033614)

This article contains instructions on how to delete the dedupe cache.

Below are the steps to delete the dedupe cache:

Warning: Quest recommends completing the following steps only after a Support engineer has advised in doing so to troubleshoot specific issues.

1. Stop any active jobs running
2. Stop the core service
3. On the core server browse to C:\ProgramData\AppRecovery\RepositoryMetaData.
4. Delete the content (not the folders) of the following:

• Primary Cache Location:   C:\ProgramData\AppRecovery\RepositoryMetaData\PrimaryCache
• Secondary Cache Location:  C:\ProgramData\AppRecovery\RepositoryMetaData\SecondaryCache 
• Metadata Cache Location:   C:\ProgramData\AppRecovery\RepositoryMetaData\CacheMetadata

        5. Start the core service
