MQAgent Reference Queue Table

Reference queues are proxies for some other queue, that is hosted locally or on a remote queue manager. Reference queues do not have statistics of their own, but instead refer to a base queue, such as a transmission queue which contains metrics. For information about the data stored in transmission queue tables, see MQAgent Transmission Queue Table .

MQAgent SPX Listener Table

The MQAgent collects data about each SPX listener and writes it to the MQAgent SPX Listener table. SPX listeners accept incoming network requests from remote queue managers, or client applications, that use the SPX network protocol for communication.

Backlog	Metric	The number of concurrent connection requests supported by the listener.
Socket	Integer	The socket number to which the listener connects.

MQAgent TCP Listener Table

The MQAgent collects data about each TCP listener and writes it to the MQAgent TCP Listener table. TCP listeners accept incoming network requests from remote queue managers, or client applications, that use the TCP network protocol for communication.

Backlog	Metric	The number of concurrent connection requests supported by the listener.
IP Address	Metric	The address of the listener (when applicable).
Port	Integer	The port number on which the listener is running.

MQAgent Transmission Queue Table

The MQAgent collects data about each transmission queue and writes it to the MQAgent Transmission Queue table. Transmission queues store messages before they are transmitted to a remote queue manager.

Field	Type	Description
Channel	MQServerChannel	The channel used for communication.
Get Inhibited	Boolean	Indicates if the ability to get data from a queue is disabled.
High limit	Metric	The depth (as a percentage of the maximal queue depth) that, when reached, generates warnings.
High water mark	Derived metric	The depth (calculated from the high limit) that, when reached, generates warnings.
Max queue depth	Metric	The maximal depth permitted for this queue.
Msg Dequeue count	Metric	The number of messages removed from the queue in the data sampling period.
Msg Dequeue rate	Derived metric	The rate (count/second) of message removed from the queue during the data sampling period. Rates are rounded to the nearest integer value.
Msg Enqueue count	Metric	The number of new messages added to the queue in the data sampling period.
Msg Enqueue rate	Derived metric	The rate (count/second) of message enqueues during the data sampling period. Rates are rounded to the nearest integer value.
Oldest message age	Metric	The age (in seconds) of the oldest message on the queue. This is only available when queue monitoring is on.
Open Input count	Metric	The number of objects that have this queue open for reading.
Open Output count	Metric	The number of objects that have this queue open for writing.
Period max depth	Metric	The maximal depth achieved during the last data sampling period.
Put Inhibited	Boolean	Indicates if the ability to put data onto a queue is disabled.
Queue Depth	Metric	The current depth of the queue.
Queue Monitoring On	Metric	Indicates if queue monitoring is enabled on the queue manager. When disabled, the oldest message age is not available to the agent.
Remote queues	List of MQQueues	The list of remote queues which depend upon this transmission queue.
Triggering	Boolean	Indicates if triggering is enabled for this queue.


	IMPORTANT: In IBM WebSphere MQ Server version 6 and 7, the monitored system generates statistic events in the SYSTEM.ADMIN.STATISTICS.QUEUE at the interval specified by the queue manager’s Statistics Interval setting. When the queue is full, the collection of statistic events is disabled. To prevent this, either enable Consume Statistics Event Message in agent properties, or clear the queue regularly using other methods. In version 5, the monitored system does not generate statistics events. For more information about the MQAgent properties, see the Foglight for IBM WebSphere MQ Server Installation Guide.
