MQAgent Local Queue Table

Purpose

The MQAgent collects data about each local queue and writes it to the MQAgent Local Queue table. Local queues are the queues managed by the local queue manager.

Table Description

 

Field	Type	Description
Cluster Name	String	The name of the cluster(s) of which the queue is a part.
Get Inhibited	Boolean	Indicates if the ability to get data from a queue is disabled.
High limit	Metric	The depth (as a percentage of the maximal queue depth) that, when reached, generates warnings.
High water mark	Derived metric	The depth (calculated from the high limit) that, when reached, generates warnings.
Max queue depth	Metric	The maximal depth permitted for this queue.
Msg Dequeue count	Metric	The number of messages removed from the queue in the data sampling period.
Msg Dequeue rate	Derived metric	The rate (count/second) of messages removed from the queue during the data sampling period. Rates are rounded to the nearest integer value.
Msg Enqueue count	Metric	The number of new messages added to the queue in the data sampling period.
Msg Enqueue rate	Derived metric	The rate (count/second) of message enqueues during the data sampling period. Rates are rounded to the nearest integer value.
Oldest message age	Metric	The age (in seconds) of the oldest message on the queue. This is only available when queue monitoring is on.
Open Input count	Metric	The number of objects that have this queue open for reading.
Open Output count	Metric	The number of objects that have this queue open for writing.
Period max depth	Metric	The maximal depth achieved during the last data sampling period.
Put Inhibited	Boolean	Indicates if the ability to put data onto a queue is disabled.
Queue Depth	Metric	The current depth of the queue.
Queue Monitoring On	Metric	Indicates if queue monitoring is enabled on the queue manager. When disabled, the oldest message age is not available to the agent.
Triggering	Boolean	Indicates if triggering is enabled for this queue.

 

IMPORTANT: In IBM WebSphere MQ Server version 6 and 7, the monitored system generates statistic events in the SYSTEM.ADMIN.STATISTICS.QUEUE at the interval specified by the queue manager’s Statistics Interval setting. When the queue is full, the collection of statistic events is disabled. To prevent this, either enable Consume Statistics Event Message in agent properties, or clear the queue regularly using other methods. In version 5, the monitored system does not generate statistics events. For more information about the MQAgent properties, see the Foglight for IBM WebSphere MQ Server Installation Guide.

MQAgent LU62 Listener Table

Purpose

The MQAgent collects data about each LU6.2 listener and writes it to the MQAgent LU62 Listener table. LU6.2 listeners accept incoming network requests from remote queue managers, or client applications, that use the LU6.2 network protocol for communication.

TP name	String	The LU 6.2 transaction program name.

MQAgent NETBIOS Listener Table

Purpose

The MQAgent collects data about each NetBIOS listener and writes it to the MQAgent NetBIOS Listener table. NetBIOS listeners accept incoming network requests from remote queue managers, or client applications, that use the NetBIOS network protocol for communication.

Field	Type	Description
Adaptor	String	The name of the adapter used.
Commands	Metric	The number of commands can be used by the listener.
Local Name	String	The local name of the listener.
NetBIOS names	Metric	The number of names supported by the listener.
Sessions	Metric	The number of sessions that can be used by the listener.

MQAgent Queue Manager Table

Purpose

The MQAgent collects data about each queue manager and writes it to the MQAgent Queue Manager table.

Field	Type	Description
Authority Events setting	Boolean	The indicator of whether authority events are enabled for the queue manager.
Auto-definition Events setting	Boolean	The indicator of whether auto-definition events are enabled for the queue manager.
Availability	Integer	(0 - not available, 1 - available).
Cluster command queue open input count	Metric	An indicator of cluster health.
Cluster manager suspended	Boolean	An indicator of cluster health. When any instance of the queue manager is suspended, an alarm is generated.
Cluster Name	String	The name of the cluster(s) of which the queue manager is a part.
Cluster replication queue open input count	Metric	An indicator of cluster health.
Cluster transmission queue open input count	Metric	An indicator of cluster health.
Command Queue Name	String	The name of the command queue defined for the queue manager.
Command Queue open input count	Metric	The number of objects reading from the command queue.
Connection count	Metric	The number of active connections on the queue manager.
Dead letter queue depth	Metric	The current depth of the dead letter queue defined for the queue manager.
Dead Letter Queue Name	String	The name of the dead letter queue defined for the queue manager.
Default XMit Queue Name	String	The name of the default transmission queue defined for the queue manager.
Error Code	Metric	When availability is 0, this indicates the captured MQ error number.
Inhibit Events setting	Boolean	The indicator of whether inhibit events are enabled for the queue manager.
Initialization queue open input count	Metric	The indicator of whether a queue is being serviced.
Local Events setting	Boolean	The indicator of whether local events are enabled for the queue manager.
Max Active channel count	Metric	The maximum number of simultaneously active channels for the queue manager.
Max Channel Count	Metric	The maximum number of channels permitted on the queue manager.
Performance Events setting	Boolean	The indicator of whether performance events are enabled for the queue manager.
Remote Events setting	Boolean	The indicator of whether remote events are enabled for the queue manager.
Start/stop Events setting	Boolean	The indicator of whether start/stop events are enabled for the queue manager.
Statistics Collection Interval	Metric	The interval during which the statistics are collected by the agent. This value must be equal to or greater than the Statistics Interval value.
Statistics Interval	Metric	The interval (in seconds) for which statistics are generated by the MQ system.
