You perform a LAN-Free restore that reports successful, but when the VM is powered on no operating system is found.
The issue is related to how VDDK 5.0 deals with disk a that are not presented correctly for LAN-Free restore to work. Luns that are presented as read only, or disk in disk management listed as offline on the physical vRanger machine are present.
To correct the issue you need to verify the LUN is not set to read only, or that the disk is not set to offline in disk management.
VDDK 5.0 does not verify that disk are online or that LUN is presented as read/write. This leads to a successful job, but is a false positive with the virtual machine not being able to be booted.
