Changing the name of the Catalog DB in the vRanger 5.3.1 full or upgrade causes the catalog manager installation to fail.
Currently vRanger 5.3.1 looks for the catalog DB to be name catalog.
For a vRanger 5.3.1 full installation or upgrade leave the catalog DB name catalog and the catalog manager will be installed correctly.
With a full install if the catalog manager installation failes you can rerun the installer to try to install the catalog manager again.
With a upgrade install if the catalog manager installation fails the installation of vRanger becomes corrupt and the following KB will need to be used to correct the vRanger installation, https://support.quest.com/Search/SolutionDetail.aspx?id=SOL77151. Also during the full installation of vRanger leave the catalog DB name catalog and the whole vRanger installation will complete correctly including the catalog manager.
