vRanger will not start and give an error that it could not connect to service. The vRanger Service will not connect to the database.

BackupExec is also running on the same box as vRanger and the database for BackupExec came first. When you install vRanger you only have the option to choose the BackupExec database to create the vRanger instance.

1. Uninstall vRanger (yes to full uninstall)
2. Clean the registry
3. Reboot
4. Create a VRANGERPRO Data Base (DB)
5. Install full version of vRanger, choose the VRANGERPRO DB and do the SQL Auto Setup for the instance
6. Start vRanger Application
