When performing a VA replication you see a similar error "Message: An internal error occurred during execution, please contact Vizioncore support if the error persists. Error Message: Warning: Permanently added 'xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx' (RSA) to the list of known hosts. FATAL cant_write can't write vix:r:xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:902:[Datastore] VM/VM_Replica.vmdk:moref=vm-8258:snapshot-8265:3 [at slave_main:569] FATAL internal internal error [at pkt_recv_unlock:82]"
This is occurring because the user name or password has special characters for the VC or ESX(i) host. The VA being a Linux machine does not process some of the characters being sent to it by vRanger correctly for the credentials of the VC or ESX(i) host.
If using at least one VC.
1. Recredential your VC or VCs in vRanger from using "domain\username" to "username@domain" or no domain just a "username"
2. Make sure you do not have any special characters in the VC password as well.
If not using a VC.
1. Make sure the ESX(i) username does not have any special characters.
2. Make sure the ESX(i) host password does not have any special characters.
Once the VC or Host have been recredentialed setup and run a new replication job.
