Description
Scheduled replications will run initially but after this first run they never start. Check the Job Task logs you find the message "No Task Created" Restarting the Ranger services allows the next pass to complete, but the issue remains on the next run.

Cause
A deeper look into the debug logs revealed that the connection to the VC is being dropped intermittently. Restarting the Ranger service forces the VC to be rediscovered. It was later found that the VC had two IP addresses and that Ranger was configured to use the FQDN and not the IP address.

Resolution
Change vRanger to use the IP address and not the FQDN to resolves this issue.
