Getting a snapshot error in vRanger -
Description
Backup jobs fail with a snapshot error.
When you take a quesced snapshot on the Virtual Center or Host the snapshot fails, so if the backup job in vRanger contains quiescing then the job will fail.
Note: snapshot without quiescing are successful

Cause
When installing the Backup Exec Remote Agent on a guest machine for GRT enabled virtual machine backups, the VMware Snapshot provider is automatically uninstalled and the BE VSS Provider installed (this is why a reboot is required). The Backup Exec VSS Provider cannot exist in a guest alongside the VMware Snapshot Provider as having both installed on a guest will cause quiesced snapshots to hang the guest and timeout.

Resolution
The steps to take to resolve the snapshot issue is to:
1) Uninstall the BackupExec agent
2) Reboot if required
3) Uninstall VMware tools
4) Reboot if required
5) Install the VMware tools
6) Reboot if required -
