Incremental or Differential backup fails of one VM or more VM's with error:
"Initialization of Backup Job Task failed for VM: Reason: Can not have child savepoints without a parent available."
On Demand jobs will complete successfully.

Cause
vRanger is unable to verify the complete backup set (Which consists of a Full backup and Incremental’s/differentials) of this particular VM.

Resolution
There are two possible workarounds:
Delete the last full and all differential/incremental backups, please do this from vRanger GUI and not by going in to windows explorer. If you would like to retain the data, copy the savepoint to a different location.
Or
Delete and recreate the scheduled job. This will create a new backup set.
