After an hour or 2 the backup fails with Error Message: 2129 - can't write cifs:localhost;administrator@10.X.X.X/vRangerRepository/as-citrix_564d7384-e680-f2c1-5e3f-3cf6150eaccd/as-citrix_20120910_233111_74aca64f-8ff0-4921-8785-103d306d885c/.f0bf8cdb-7e53-4b0e-b89e-133b743898bb/.f0bf8cdb-7e53-4b0e-b89e-133b743898bb.var

Cause
During the investigation of this error we found on the vRanger server running 2008 R2 in the event viewer under system had an Event ID 2025 with a description of: The server has detected an attempted Denial-Of-Service (DoS) attack from client \\vrangerva2, and has disconnected the connection.

Resolution
Using the following Microsoft KB http://support.microsoft.com/kb/898468 disabling the (DoS) detection, rebooted the server, re-ran the backup job and the backup completed successful.
