Can't add host credentials to an ESXi host due to lockdown mode
The issue occurs when lockdown mode is enabled on the ESXi host. When lockdown mode is enabled remote users are not able to log into the ESXi host. vRanger uses remote access to connect to the ESXi host. -

Resolution
The following these steps will resolve this error.
1.Connect to the Virtual Center or the ESXi host via the vSphere Client.
2.Click on the Configuration tab for the ESXi host.
3.Click on Edit… in the Lockdown Mode section.
4.Uncheck “Enable Lockdown Mode”.
5.In vRanger Add the Host Credentials once again.
