Backup task initialization failed for VMName, reason: Error in line 1 position 617. 'Element' 'UpdatedBy' (4041830)

The following issues may be found after an upgrade to vRanger Backup & Replication 7.6.4

• Backup tasks are failing with the following error: 

"Backup task initialization failed for VMName, reason: Error in line 1 position 617. 'Element' 'UpdatedBy' from namespace 'http://schemas.datacontract.org/2004/07/Vizioncore.Inventory.Vmware.Factory.QueryObjects' is not expected. Expecting element 'SubProfileIds'."

• The GUI may not open, logging the previous error to the event viewer.
• Creating a new job for the failing VM's work without any issues.

This issue has been identified as a defect. (VR-553)

This only affects virtual machines that are using VSAN datastores or machines using Storage Profile policies. Virtual machines in a standard configuration are not affected by this defect. 

This will be fixed in the next release, however, there's an hot-fix available for this issue. Please contact customer support to receive it. 

As a workaround, a new backup job can be created for the virtual machines that are failing with this issue.
