Re-use existing scratch disk virtual appliance 7.1.4
Description

When adding an existing scratch disk to virtual appliance version 7.1.4
Cause

Upgrade required but VA is used for replication therefore requiring scratch disk is to be re-used.
Resolution

1) Deploy a new VA using vRanger virtual appliance deploy wizard,

DO NOT select use this virtual appliance for replication
2) From within vCenter
a. Edit settings.
b. Add hard disk.
c. Use an existing virtual disk
d. Browse to location in datastore, select disk and add
3) Log into the VA and run the following commands:

cd /root/vautil/
./scratch_scsi.sh -a "0:0:1:0" -w 190
4) Run df –h to confirm presence of /scratch/sdb/
