Replication job fails with ""API Call failed with message: The name 'VM_Name' already exists" -
Description
When replicating a VM the following error occurs: "An internal error occurred during execution,
please contact Vizioncore support if the error persists. Error Message: The name 'VM_Name' already exists" -
Cause
There is a conflict with the target ESX host name that causes job to fail -
Resolution
1. Remove VC and/or ESX hosts from vRanger inventory
2. Re-add VC and/or ESX hosts to vRanger inventory
3. Edit replication job and use the preseed VM option. Here, specify the destination host and the target VM name. Choose the VM from the 'Preseed VM UUID' and this will overwrite the target VM that already exists.
