Description
Error Message: 3208 - can't read cifs :<..........> .prepared.
1. Repository is an Iomega NAS device.
2. Repository is on a Seagate Business Storage Unit (8/15/13)

Cause
This is an error where vRanger cannot verify the .var file on a CIFS share on the NAS and unix extensions are used which breaks communication -
Resolution
1. Contact Iomega Support to disable unix extensions. By default, the NAS device is configured to support unix extensions
Iomega support needs to be contacted as they have an application to change the samba.conf file to disable unix extensions.
2. Seagate says they can't turn off Unix ext. FTP repositories do seem to work in this case.
