Any attempt to perform an FLR reports "Mount failed" -
Cause
The APPDATA portion of the user's profile being redirected by a group policy causes this issue. This can be determined by opening a command window and type echo %appdata%. The path to appdata should point to a local disk. If it is a UNC path, then appdata is being redirected to a network location. -
Resolution
There are several option to resolve this issue:
1. Disable the GPO that causes the redirection. Note that redirection could be set at the account and not by group policy.
2. Use another account that does not have the redirection GPO applied.
3. If the account has a profile path setting, edit the account to remove the roaming profile.
