Error 2212 - [vix_cant_read_detail] VIX can't read (Memory allocation failed. Out of memory.) -
Description
- Backups running using VA or Machine based LAN transport fail with the following error:
Error: 2212 - [vix_cant_read_detail] VIX can't read [datastore] virtualmachine/virtualmachine.vmdk (Memory allocation failed. Out of memory.)
- Backups using VA or Machine based Hot-Add completes without error.
- Restarting the ESX management agents will allow the backups to complete temporarily without error.
- Restarting the ESXi host will allow the backups to complete temporarily without error.
- Perfoming a vMotion of the affected virtual machines to a different host will allow backups to run with LAN transport without error.
