Running a Custom Report | Any counter for Exchange Hourly returns a lot more data when Date Filter set to Last 1 day or Yesterday. However the canned report for Exchange | Any Counter reports accurate date when choosing the Date of Last 1 day or Yesterday.
E.g. Results Returned are dating back a few months instead of just the hourly data for the Last 1 day, or Yesterday.
Delete and recreate the Custom Report
This problem was found after a uninstall/reinstall of Spotlight on Messaging 7.5
