Launching the Exchange 2010 Management Console opens the Exchange 2007 Management Console on the (4241281)

When Right-Clicking an Exchange 2010 Server in the Management Console and choosing "Resolve | Launch Exchange 2010 Managment Console" The Exchange 2007 Management Console is Launched Instead.

This will happen if the SOM Server has only the Exchange 2007 management tools installed. In order to Launch the 2010 Console it also needs to be installed on the server.

Install The Exchange 2010 Management tools on the Spotlight On Messaging server. In a Mixed 2007/2010 environment you will need to install both sets of management tools In the following order:

*NOTE: The Exchange 2010 Management tools can only be installed on a 64 bit server.

1. On A 64-bit server install the Exchange 2010 Tools
2. Install the Exchange 2007 Management tools
3. Install Spotlight On Messaging on this server
4. Connect to the Exchange Organization

In this configuration the Exchange 2010 console will launch when right-clicking an Exchange 2010 server and choosing "Resolve | Launch Exchange 2010 Console", and the 2007 console will launch if the server is an Exchange 2007 server.
