State

The current state of a tablespace. Access to data in a table space depends on its state. This is determined by the operations being performed for a tablespace.  

The standard state is Normal. When a tablespace is in this state, access to data is available. Other states indicate when an operation such as a backup, drop, load, restore, or roll forward is in progress or pending. These states include:

  • Backup Pending

  • Backup in Progress

  • Disable Pending

  • Drop Pending

  • Load in Progress

  • Offline and Not Accessible

  • Quiesced Exclusive

  • Quiesced Shared

  • Quiesced Update

  • Reorg in Progress

  • Restore Pending

  • Restore in Progress

  • Roll Forward Pending

  • Roll Forward in Progress
