SMS component

The SMS component provides statistics about SMS (system-managed space) tablespaces to which the database is mapped.

Required monitor switch

None

Displayed statistics

At each refresh, Spotlight captures the following statistics and displays them in the SMS component:

Total Size—The total amount of space in an SMS tablespace. This value is shown in MB.
Utilization—The percentage of space in an SMS tablespace that is already used. This statistic has a predefined range of alarms. For more information see, DMS Utilization alarm.

Graph

The fill graph depicts the percentage of SMS tablespace that currently contains table data in the database.

Associated drilldown

Click the SMS component to open the Tablespaces drilldown. This drilldown provides details about the tablespaces in which the database you are currently monitoring resides. You can select a specific tablespace to view its storage and activity statistics.
