Installation Instructions

Foglight for OpenManage Essentials contains an agent that communicates with the public API of the OpenManage Essentials server. After the agent is installed, you can begin seeing the OME hardware data in the Foglight for Virtualization EE dashboards.

To install the integration agent:

1. Log in to Foglight for Virtualization EE.
2. On the navigation panel, under Homes, select Environment Overview.
3. On the Administer tab, in the Monitor a New Virtual Domain section, select Connect to OpenManage Essentials.
4. Follow the steps in the interactive installer to set up the agent.

In this release, all product components should be configured to use the same or compatible character encodings and should be installed to use the same locale and regional options. This release is targeted to support operations in the following regions: North America, Western Europe and Latin America, Central and Eastern Europe, Far-East Asia, Japan. It supports bidirectional writing (Arabic and Hebrew). The release supports Complex Script (Central Asia – India, Thailand).
