In this procedure, you configure the agent to monitor the Compellent Storage Manager or Enterprise Manager host, then you select the arrays to monitor. For details, see Configuring Agents to Monitor Storage Devices.

Dell EqualLogic PS Series Array Groups

Foglight for Storage Management uses SNMP to collect information about Dell EqualLogic PS Series array groups. Foglight for Storage Management requires a separate agent for each Dell EqualLogic PS Series array group. The agent uses the array group’s SNMP community name to collect and organize information about the groups.For more information, see the following topics:

Your environment must meet the following requirements:

For supported PS Firmware, see Collection Target Support Matrix.

SNMP community names exist for each array group. You configure SNMP names using the EqualLogic Group Manager. For more information, see “Displaying and Configuring SNMP Access to a Group” in the EqualLogic Group Manager online help.

Configuring Agents to Monitor Dell EqualLogic Arrays

During this procedure you create an agent for an EqualLogic PS Series array group. The dialog allows you to create multiple agents for other array groups that use the same credentials.
