EMC CLARiiON CX Series Arrays (CLI)

Foglight for Storage Management uses the NaviSecCLI utility on the EMC Management Host to collect data from EMC CLARiiON CX Series arrays. When accessing specific CLARiiON arrays, Foglight for Storage Management uses the Navisphere management application (via the NaviSecCLI) for collection. Foglight for Storage Management requires an EMC Management Host user account to access Navisphere, as well as a Navisphere account to access the individual arrays.

Your environment must meet the following requirements:

Configuring Agents to Monitor EMC CLARiiON CX Series Arrays (CLI)

During this procedure, you configure the agent to use the CLI to collect from the array management host. For details, see Configuring Agents to Monitor Storage Devices.

EMC CLARiiON, VNX, or VMAX Storage Arrays (SMI-S)

To collect from EMC CLARiiON and VNX arrays, Foglight for Storage Management uses the EMC SMI-S Provider installed on a host machine. For EMC VMAX arrays, Foglight for Storage Management uses the EMC SMI-S Provider installed on EMC Solutions Enabler. The SMI-S Provider can be downloaded from the EMC Support page at https://support.emc.com/downloads.
