Exadata ASM Groups

This page shows I/O requests to the Exadata Storage Servers (Cells) for the ASM Disk Groups.

The data is aggregated from CellCLI where the objectType is GRIDDISK.

Note: Spotlight on Oracle RAC may include monitoring of Exadata systems depending on the license purchased.

To open the ASM Groups page

  1. Select the Spotlight on Oracle RAC connection in the Spotlight Browser.
  2. Click Exadata | ASM Groups.

Notes:

  • Every chart has a legend (list of symbols) to its right that describes the various series (line graphs) on the chart.
  • Click an item in the legend to highlight its series (line) in the chart. Click a second time to return the series to its normal appearance.
  • Move the mouse pointer over an item in the legend to view the current value for that series within the chart.
Chart Description
Total IO by Disk Group The rate of I/O read and write requests (number per second) for the ASM Disk Group.
Total Throughput by Disk Group Database throughput is a measure of the speed (megabytes per second) at which data moves through the database.

Column Description
Disk Group The name of the ASM Disk Group.
Cell Host The name of the Cell host.
Total Reads/Sec The rate of I/O read requests (number per second) for the Disk Group and Cell host.
Total Writes/Sec The rate of I/O write requests (number per second) for the Disk Group and Cell host.
Mb Read/Sec The rate of I/O read requests (megabytes per second) for the Disk Group and Cell host.
Mb Written/Sec The rate of I/O write requests (megabytes per second) for the Disk Group and Cell host.
