The following is a list of issues known to exist at the time of this release.
Defect ID |
Known Issue |
OMEINT-219 |
The OME Alert Feed table selection auto-jumps to the first/mid selected record if the table has many rows. |
OMEINT-200 |
When users acknowledge or clear alerts in the Foglight for Virtualization EE dashboard, the alert status is updated immediately in the OME Alert Feed table, and after a certain delay it is updated in the OME server. If the OME agent finishes one alert collection before the alert status is updated in the OME server, the agent receives outdated status information, and (as a result) overrides the alert status in the OME Alert Feed. |
OMEINT-168 |
To collect storage (physical disk) information for ESXi servers, you must discover both integrated Dell Remote Access Controller (iDRAC) and ESXi in OpenManage Essentials. |
OMEINT-114 |
OpenManage Essentials collects more information about NICs (such as, iDRAC NIC, VMkernel NIC, etc.) than Foglight for Virtualization EE does. As a result, the NIC information numbers provided by the two products are different." |
Developed for Foglight Management Server 5.7.5, Foglight Integration for OpenManage Essentials is compatible for use with Foglight for Virtualization Enterprise Edition 8.3 and requires Foglight for VMware 5.6.16.

Foglight for Virtualization EE includes a trial license. No extra licensing is required for Foglight Integration for OpenManage Essentials.
You can activate the Foglight for Virtualization EE license on the Homes > Environment Overview dashboard.
When a trial license expires, the trial product stops collecting data. You still have access to historical data. If you want to continue collecting data, you need to purchase a commercial license. If you want to stop collecting data before the trial license expires, deactivate your monitoring agents using the Agent Status dashboard. For more information, see the Foglight Administration and Configuration Guide.
To purchase a full license, contact your Foglight sales representative. You can install purchased licenses either during the 45-day trial or after the trial period has expired. You install and manage licenses using the Manage Licenses dashboard.
