Safe Mode in NetVault

Unable to add package store with hostname.

Adding package store with hostname fails with the following error:

Error: Failed to connect to store: 'Error while accessing package store. Check for mount permission”

On Linux-based NetVault Server an error message is displayed to check the mount permission.

Ping the share directory with the hostname, if the share directory does not responds to the ping, you need to check the host configurations and the DNS configuration.

Deployment task fails due to network configuration issues.

Deployment task fails on the remote target machine due to network configuration issues.

Task logs displays an error message:

Not able to find any valid IP address for NetVault server. Make sure valid n/w configurations are in place.

Check the network configuration and then run the command hostname -i on the target machine.Check if all the valid IP address are listed and not the Loopback address.

Domain user is unable to login NetVault Server if the workstation attribute is set.

Domain user is unable to login NetVault Server with correct credentials.

Following log messages are displayed on Linux and Windows based NetVault Server, respectively:

On domain controller, check the workstation attribute of the domain user.

Domain user is unable to login NetVault Server on Debian 9.

Domain user is unable to login NetVault Server on Debian 9.

NetVault Server displays following error in the nvavp-*.log log file:

Domain user validation failed due to access restrictions

Even after successful authentication, authorization is denied due to Group Policy Object Settings.

Set below parameters to resolve this issue in /etc/sssd/sssd.conf configuration file:

access_provider = ad

auth_provider = ad

ad_gpo_access_control = permissive.
