Version 6.5.1 contains several changes that improve the performance of Secure Copy and provide status information.
Job Performance Enhancements
Multi-Threading Parameters Expanded
The maximum values for thread count, batch count, and batch size have increased. Maximum thread count is now 100; maximum batch count is now 1000, and maximum batch size is now 100 MB.
Size Limited for Email Attachments
On the Email page, you now can set a size limit on Email Notification Report attachments. If the total reports selected to attach to an email exceed a set limit, the reports do not attach.
License Status Checked Per Job
The License Status is checked now per selected job rather than when Secure Copy is launched. By checking only the paths in the selected job, the loading of the Secure Copy Console is not hampered with the existence of old copy jobs with outdated paths.
Unnecessary copying of unchanged files prevented
The Ignore NTFS/FAT time differences up to 2 seconds check box is now selected by default on the Other File Options page. If the last-modified date and time differs by less than 2 seconds the files are skipped during a copy job, which prevents unnecessary copying of unchanged files.
Job Progress Dialog Updates
The Job Progress dialog box now displays “verifying CRC” thread status and “sending email notification” status.
Successful Migration Tasks Now Logged
Previously only errors were logged to the Job log file. With this new release, successful pre- and post-migration task statuses are also logged.
Standard Evaluation Mode Improved
The file size limit in the standard evaluation mode is increased to 5 megabytes.
