If Secure Copy is installed on a new machine and/or a new version of Secure Copy is installed in a new installation folder, the job setting can be migrated to the new installation so they do not need to be recreated. Also, the current license information can be migrated, which is beneficial on machines that do not have internet access for online license registration.
The job settings are in the SecureCopy.ssd file, and the license information is in the LicenseFile.phl file in the installation folder. The default installation path is:
Version 7.3 and later - <installDrive>\Program Files\Quest\Secure Copy 7
Version 7.2 and earlier - <installDrive>\Program Files\Dell\Secure Copy 7
Close the Secure Copy application, then go to the current/old installation of Secure Copy and copy the SecureCopy.ssd and/or LicenseFile.phl files. Browse to the new installation path and paste the files. Open the new installation of Secure Copy to see your saved jobs.
